Traveling, for me, is more than just exploring different parts of the world; it\u2019s an opportunity to
\nconnect with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and immerse myself in unique
\nexperiences. Working for an airline gave me the privilege of traveling extensively as part of my
\njob, with the added perk of discounted flights, which made exploring the world even more
\naccessible.
\nIceland: A Spontaneous Adventure
\nOne of my most unforgettable trips was to Iceland in 2016 with my then-flatmate. The entire
\njourney was unplanned and spontaneous, yet it turned out to be the most exhilarating experience
\nI’ve had. We rented a car and drove around the island with no fixed itinerary, stopping wherever
\nand whenever we felt like it. We even arranged accommodation last minute, often deciding
\nwhere to stay on the same afternoon.
\nIceland’s landscapes were simply breathtaking. We drove through snow-covered mountains,
\nmarveled at stunning glaciers, stood in awe before magnificent waterfalls, and were lucky
\nenough to witness the magical northern lights. The freedom to explore at our own pace and the
\nnatural beauty of Iceland made this trip truly unforgettable.
\nTaiwan and Japan: A Cultural Journey
\nAnother cherished travel experience was a trip to Taiwan and Japan with my boyfriend. As he is
\nfrom Australia, it was incredibly special for me to show him Taiwan\u2014where I grew up. Sharing
\nmy culture, traditions, and the incredible Taiwanese cuisine with him was a highlight. Despite
\nthe hot weather in Taiwan that slightly reduced our appetites, we indulged in delicious local
\ndishes like dumplings, stinky tofu, and an array of street food at the bustling night markets.
\nTogether, we also embarked on some memorable hikes, which we both thoroughly enjoyed.
\nIn Japan, we experienced a blend of history, culture, and nature. In Kyoto, we immersed
\nourselves in the rich cultural heritage, visiting ancient temples and shrines. From there, we
\nventured into Japan\u2019s mountainous regions, where we marveled at the natural beauty, completed
\nmore hikes, and even went paragliding through the mountains\u2014a truly thrilling experience. We
\nended our journey in Tokyo, where we enjoyed the vibrant energy and fast-paced city life. Each
\ndestination offered something unique, making the trip an unforgettable adventure.
\nLooking Ahead
\nAlthough I\u2019ve been fortunate to visit many incredible places, there are still countless destinations
\non my bucket list. Each journey leaves me inspired and eager to see more of the world. The
\nthought of all the places I have yet to explore excites me, and I hope to seize every opportunity to
\ntravel and create more amazing memories. After all, the world is vast, and life feels too short to
